18 Dec 2019

Greek fixed and mobile operator Wind Hellas has received three non-binding takeover offers. A report from Tomos News says that bids have been entered by private equity funds BC Partners, Warburg Pincus and Providence Equity. Wind’s owners, Golden Tree Asset Management and Cyrus Capital Partners, which together control 95% of the telco’s share capital, are now expected to invite binding offers. TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database notes that Wind sits in third place in the Greek cellular and fixed broadband markets, behind Cosmote and Vodafone.
