AzTelekom launches fixed LTE services in Absheron and Sumgayit

Azerbaijan state-owned ISP AzTelekom has announced the launch of fixed LTE services in several localities in the Absheron peninsula, as well as the city of Sumgayit. The operator’s LTE network is now available in Khirdalan, Digah, Fatmai, Mohammadii, Masazir, Mehdiabad, Novkhani Gardens, Gobu, Saray, Corat, the Kurd valley, HZ Tagiev and the 11th district of Sumgayit, providing wireless internet and telephony services. AzTelekom initially deployed its LTE network in Hullu and Karachi in the Khachmaz district in early 2018 as part of a pilot scheme and plans to extend the infrastructure to other regions.
