Altice Dominicana to invest USD654m over next five years

Altice Dominicana, the full-service telecoms operator owned by Altice Europe, has unveiled plans to invest DOP35 billion (USD654.2 million) in the modernisation and expansion of its networks in the five-year period spanning 2019-2024. Ana Figueiredo, CEO of Altice Dominicana, told local media representatives that the investment target matches the figure invested between 2014 and 2019. She added that the telco’s LTE network now comprises 1,600 cell sites and covers 98% of the population. In addition, Altice’s 8,000km fibre network now reaches more than one million homes and businesses.
