Verizon Wireless has announced that its ‘5G Ultra Wideband’ network has gone live in three new cities, bringing the total number of markets served to 18. New locations added to the cellco’s footprint are parts of Boston, Massachusetts; Houston, Texas; and Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Parts of Boston covered include the likes of Beth Israel Hospital, Fenway Park and Harvard Medical School.
Going forward, Verizon plans to offer 5G access in more than 30 cities by the end of this year. Some of the new cities will include Charlotte, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Des Moines, Kansas City, Little Rock, Memphis, San Diego and Salt Lake City.
