French conglomerate Bouygues Group has reported revenues of EUR27.601 billion (USD30.38 billion) for the nine months ended 30 September 2019, an increase of 9% from EUR25.219 billion in the year-ago period. The firm generated a net profit attributable to the group (excluding exceptional items) of EUR848 million in 9M19, up from a net profit of EUR771 million reported in the corresponding period of 2018. The group reported that its telecoms arm Bouygues Telecom ‘continued to post a very good commercial and financial performance’ with a 13% year-on-year rise in revenue, from EUR3.934 billion in 9M18 to EUR4.426 billion in 9M19, while EBITDAaL grew by EUR92 million in the period under review to EUR1.050 billion, and CAPEX stood at EUR638 million (EUR714 million in 9M18). The telecoms operator reported a net profit of EUR251 million in the nine months to end-September 2019, down from a net profit of EUR309 million in the year-ago period.
In operational terms, Bouygues Telecom reported a total of 21.336 million subscribers at 30 September 2019 (up from 20.027 million at the end of 2018), including 17.505 million mobile customers (end-2018: 16.351 million) and 3.831 million fixed broadband subscribers (3.676 million). The operator claimed to have 855,000 FTTH customers on its books at the end of September 2019.
