Zain Bahrain launches fibre-optic broadband services

Zain Bahrain has announced the launch of fibre-optic broadband services for homes and businesses from 1 November. The mobile operator’s new service has been enabled by Batelco’s recently established National Broadband Network (BNET), which provides wholesale fibre broadband network services to all licensed operators.

The company is marketing a choice of five packages on its website, ranging from the basic ‘Fiber 15’ option, which offers a maximum download speed of 20Mbps and a monthly data allowance of 300GB for BHD15.75 (USD41.52), to the ‘Fiber 32’ option with a 40Mbps maximum downlink speed and 700GB of data a month priced at BHD33.6.
