Adamo embarks on regional acquisition spree

1 Nov 2019

Adamo Telecom Iberia, the Spanish fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) provider that is backed by Stockholm-based investment firm EQT Mid Market, has unveiled a series of regional network takeover deals. Adamo has acquired infrastructure from Fibranet and Fibramedios (both Murcia), Telecable Andalucia and Unicable (both Sevilla) and Rio Telecom (Calpe); all five ISPs will continue to offer commercial services via the networks. In total, the five acquisitions will add 170,000 homes passed to Adamo’s network footprint. As a result, the multi-play provider expects its footprint to reach one million addressable homes by year-end. In addition, Adamo has reiterated its intention to pass 1.5 million homes by end-2020.
