Makati strikes deal with Globe for free Wi-Fi hotspots

The municipal government of Makati City is poised to strike an agreement with Globe Telecom to establish a free Wi-Fi network in the city. According to a statement at the weekend from the government, a memorandum of agreement is expected to be concluded tomorrow (22 October 2019) and forms part of a wider Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) project – ‘Free WiFi for All’ – to set up free Wi-Fi zones in regions across the country.
