Quad-play network operator DIGI Hungary is continuing to expand its 4G LTE mobile network coverage, having recently added a further 50 settlements to the footprint to cover a total of 237 settlements, reports Hungarian ICT website HWSW. The expansion comes despite the decision of Hungarian regulator NMHH to exclude DIGI from the country’s 5G spectrum licence auction which is scheduled to conclude by early November. DIGI has appealed the ruling, which is currently under review. DIGI switched on its mobile services in late May 2019, initially for its existing fixed broadband/TV customers only, on an introductory promotional tariff.
