Azerfon extends 4G footprint to 91.5% of population

Azerfon (Nar), Azerbaijan’s third largest mobile network operator (MNO) by subscribers, has announced that its 4G LTE network now covers 91.5% of the country’s population via more than 2,740 4G base transceiver stations (BTS) in 53 regions, including 1,018 LTE-A BTS installed in 2019. The company, which has a total mobile subscriber base of 2.3 million, reported that more than 850,000 of its customers are currently active 4G users.
