Vodafone Qatar has disclosed that its 5G network now covers 70% of the capital Doha, while it plans to expand coverage near-nationwide before the 2022 FIFA men’s football World Cup being hosted in the country, The Peninsula reports. The company says it expects its 5G network to serve ‘almost all populated areas’ by 2022. Vodafone Qatar has also launched what it says is the country’s first ‘unlimited’ 5G smartphone packages, which all include unlimited (fair usage policy) data, calls and SMS, with prices starting at QAR250 (USD68) per month (promotional tariff; standard price QAR300).
