Dialog Axiata internet services arm Dialog Broadband Networks has introduced a software defined wide area network (SD-WAN) service in Sri Lanka targeting the business community, Economynext reports. Sri Lankan companies will be able to use Dialog Broadband Networks’ new ‘FlexNet’ branded service to connect offices in different locations, via software that will allocate bandwidth and facilities as required by priority using internet and cloud technology. FlexNet ‘simplifies administration and management of traffic amongst branch networks or multiple locations,’ it said, adding that SD-WAN affords greater security through encryption, improved performance by traffic prioritisation, reduced maintenance due to software-based control and flexibility to expand by adding branches or bandwidth.
