Ooredoo upgrades VSAT broadband

24 Sep 2019

Ooredoo Qatar has upgraded its VSAT internet service, now offering 50Mbps/10Mbps download/upload speeds, compared to its previously offered 30Mbps/6Mbps, and has furthermore dropped subscription prices by 40%. Two new packages, Base Pack and Unlimited Pack, provide fully secured connectivity via Ka-Band VSAT technology supporting applications such as point-of-sales transactions, data processing, reservation systems and business continuity alongside high speed internet access. Ooredoo Qatar’s COO Yousuf Abdulla al-Kubaisi said: ‘As Qatar’s economy continues to grow and develop, companies in many industries, including oil and gas, transport and logistics, and emergency services require secure, reliable, and fast internet services in remote locations.’
