SBB to add fifth gigabit city next month

27 Aug 2019

Serbian fibre and cable provider Serbia Broadband (SBB) has announced that network improvement works in Kragujevac will grant residents of the city access to broadband speeds of up to 1Gbps in September. The development is part of a EUR300 million (USD334 million) five-year investment plan, and Kragujevac will be the fifth city to be covered, following similar upgrades in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Subotica and Gornji Milanovac. In addition to faster data transfer rates, customers in the city will also have their TV package upgraded, with users signed up to the company’s ‘Start’ package gaining access to 120 channels, rather than 60 previously, including up to 32 HD channels.
