Polish mobile operator P4 (Play) has concluded its takeover of Katowice-based fibre-optic provider 3S, for a total enterprise value of EUR96.0 million (USD106.4 million). The selling parties were Ambrosia CEE Holding (part of Polish Enterprise Fund VII, a private equity fund managed by Enterprise Investors) and the company’s three founders, each of which held a minority stake. The deal closed on 19 August.
TeleGeography notes that 3S controls 3,500km of fibre infrastructure covering Southern Poland, Silesia, Krakow and Wroclaw. The telco currently serves 2,800 B2B clients and is also active in the data centre sector.
