Greek telcos were owed a total of EUR1.2 billion (USD1.3 billion) in unpaid bills at the end of 2018. A report from eKathimerini says that Cosmote, Wind and Vodafone expect non-payment of bills to cost them around EUR100 million this year, despite the Greek economy having passed the worst of its recent financial crisis. The total amount due to telcos was only slightly down on the end-2017 figure of EUR1.29 billion. Fixed and mobile market leader Cosmote had the largest proportion of outstanding payments, with 65% of the total.
