Paratus Africa signs capacity agreement with NamPower

1 Aug 2019

Paratus Africa has signed a commercial contract with NamPower that will enable it to use the data capabilities of the Namibian power utility’s national fibre-optic network called The Grid Online, officially launched last March. Paratus will access NamPower’s network in strategic locations in order to extend its own fibre-optic coverage and implement redundancy for its existing infrastructure. Paratus highlighted that it already provides redundancy on its fibre network from the Namibian west coast to Caprivi, Botswana and through South Africa into its international network, enabling it to provide active Service Level Agreement options with up to 99.9% availability.
