Zong launches fibre service

Chinese-owned mobile provider Zong has launched fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) services in selected areas of Karachi, ProPakistani writes. As part of the launch, the operator is offering its first 100 customers free installation, and plans are expected to provide download speeds of 10Mbps with unlimited downloads. Commenting on the development, Zong Chairman and CEO Wang Hua said: ‘This development is a tremendous milestone for us. Zong Fiber allows us to directly deliver fast internet to our valued customers’ homes. We have always endeavoured to bring new digital experiences to the lives of our customers. Our objective of people empowerment only strengthens our commitment to provide sustainable and top-of-the-line internet technology to the people of Pakistan.’
