26 Jul 2019

PLDT Inc. mobile arm Smart Communications is rolling out its LTE and LTE-A network in the provinces of Nueva Ecija and Aurora allowing customers there to enjoy ultra-high speed mobile internet services. The deployment covers a number of major roads in the area including the Pan-Philippine Highway, the Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway, and the Pantabangan-Baler Road, while mobile internet will also be boosted in high-population density areas such as Sabang Beach, malls, government offices, hotels and schools; and populous barangays like Bibiclat, Cuyapo, Dampulan, Poblacion and San Francisco, among others.

Commenting on the 4G rollout, Mario G Tamayo, PLDT-Smart senior vice president for Network Planning and Engineering, said: ‘As technologies enrich the lives of Filipinos, we continue to build and expand our network to better serve our subscribers … This brings families closer together, improves business productivity, and enhances the people’s ability to enjoy various online services, may it be for finance, transportation or entertainment. By bringing in LTE, coupled with carrier aggregation, we aim to provide a superior mobile data experience to the Filipino communities here in the provinces of Nueva Ecija and Aurora.’
