Renamed Lattelecom books H1 turnover of EUR105m

Latvian full-service provider Tet – known as Lattelecom until April 2019 – has booked turnover of EUR105 million (USD118 million) for the first six months of 2019, an increase of 6% year-on-year. In its statement, Tet said it had invested in the development of its Helio iTV and Shortcut platforms, yielding a 3% increase in turnover from TV services as a result. The operator also noted that it had seen revenue growth from its data centre and new IT solutions services, of 12% and 28%, respectively. Commenting on Tet’s six-month results, Chairman Juris Gulbis said: ‘We have done a lot in the second quarter of the year – on 1 April, we changed our brand and name, working on service upgrades and continuing digital transformation to provide customers with the most convenient, up-to-date and easy-to-use services … We have invested in the development of Helio iTV and Shortcut to provide our customers with the best viewing experience and the best, most diverse content’.
