Vodafone Qatar ramps up 5G home broadband services

17 Jul 2019

Vodafone Qatar has launched a limited offer for connecting customers to its 5G ‘GigaHome’ residential broadband service for free. New subscribers signing up to the GigaHome 5G Classic plan get two months free service (worth QAR700 [USD191]) plus a free 5G fixed modem/router and two free Giga Wi-Fi Hubs for boosting coverage around the house.

Vodafone Qatar’s 5G network is live in dozens of residential locations across Qatar including Al Waab, Abu Hamour, Al Azizya, Al Mamoura, Al Rayyan, Umm Salal Muhammed and Khartiyat. By the end of this month the operator says the network will go live in several additional locations including Al Hilal, Muntazah, Muraykh and Al Sadd. GigaHome 5G broadband was launched in late April this year, while the operator is currently taking pre-orders for 5G smartphones.
