Telekom Slovenije begins sale process for IPKO

9 Jul 2019

Telekom Slovenije Group has begun the process of selling off its 100% stake in Kosovar full-service provider IPKO, the Slovenian group has confirmed. In a statement, the company explained that the move was in line with its strategy for the 2019-2023 period, adding that its plan ‘also includes the possibility of further consolidation through expansion and disinvestment in the markets where Telekom Slovenije Group operates’. Potential buyers include: Serbian state-owned Telekom Srbija, which is currently on an acquisition drive as it looks to establish itself as a market leader across the region and already has a presence in the Kosovar market through MTS Kosovo and BC Partners, the owners of United Group, which operates cable networks across the Balkans.
