The Philippine Star reports that domestic fixed and mobile operator Globe Telecom has struck separate tower deals with infrastructure operators Aboitiz InfraCapital and Frontier Tower Associates Philippines (FTAP) to improve connectivity in the regions of Cebu, Davao and Olongapo. Under the partnership deals, the companies will develop options to lease ‘build-to-suit sites’, towers, and other passive telecommunications infrastructure and facilities. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed by all parties on 2 July 2019 in support of the common tower initiatives of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).
