Kyivstar aims for 75% LTE coverage this year

Ukraine’s largest mobile operator by subscribers Kyivstar intends to cover 75% of the country’s population with its 4G LTE network by the end of this year, up from 68% currently, company president Alexander Komarov told reporters, quoted by Interfax. Kyivstar launched 1800MHz-based LTE network services in July 2018, following its LTE-2600 launch in April, achieving 4G coverage of 50% of the population and 3,606 towns/municipalities by the end of that year, according to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database.
