Georgian telecoms operator MagtiCom has announced that it will no longer be discontinuing its ‘Magti Fix’ fixed-wireless service, after successfully negotiating the extension of its CDMA licence. Last month the firm revealed that it planned to shut down the voice and broadband service, which operates in the 450MHz band, in mid-June due to the expiry of its CDMA licence. The Georgian National Communications Commission (GNCC) has now confirmed that the permit has been extended for a further ten years.
