TDC, Nordkysten establish joint fibre venture

19 Jun 2019

Danish operator TDC has revealed that its new infrastructure division NetCo has set up a joint venture with construction company Nordkysten in order to deploy fibre networks in Zealand. The new company, called Fiberkysten, will start the fibre rollout ‘after the summer holidays’. Fiberkysten will be 60%-owned by TDC’s NetCo. Henrik Leu Christiansen, head of fibre deployments at TDC NetCo, said: ‘We are well on the way to getting our fibre rollout up and running, and only more speed is coming up over the next few years. In order for this to be possible, it is crucial that we have the necessary capacity and the right partners to get the cables in the ground and make the installations with the customers. And the establishment of Fiberkysten is a very important step on the road.’
