TIM launches new LTE-based fixed replacement offer

4 Jun 2019

Telecom Italia (TIM) has launched a new fixed-wireless access (FWA) offer for business users in areas outside of the footprint of its copper and fibre networks. A report from Mondo Mobile Web says TIM’s new Business Internet FWA service will utilise its LTE and LTE-A 4G networks to provide data-only connectivity at download speeds of up to 30Mbps, with peak upload rates of 3Mbps. A tariff providing 120GB of bandwidth costs EUR45 (USD50.40) per month excluding VAT, discounted to EUR35 for the first twelve months of a 24-month contract. There is also an activation fee of EUR240, which is paid in EUR10 monthly instalments. In December 2018 TIM launched a similar LTE-based internet offer for home users.
