Millicom International Cellular (MIC) has filed Form F-1 with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), registering the offer and sale of 11.000 million shares held by its largest shareholder, Kinnevik, and its affiliates. In addition, Kinnevik has granted the underwriters the option to purchase up to 1.650 million Millicom shares within 30 days of the offering date.

Kinnevik currently owns 37.835 million Millicom shares, equivalent to 37.2% of Millicom’s total shareholding. The 11.000 million shares currently being offered represent approximately 10.8% of Millicom’s total shares (a figure which increases to 12.4% when including the underwriters’ option). Pending the successful completion of the offer and sale, an additional stake sale is expected to take place in December 2019.
