News.Am reports that Armenian fixed, broadband and mobile services provider Ucom aims to be the first telecoms company to issue domestic (AMD) and foreign (USD) bonds, citing its co-founder and director general Hayk Yesayan as saying. In a press conference last week (17 May), Yesayan said that the value of the issuance will be USD5 million, with an annual yield of 7.5%, and AMD250 million (USD520,000) with an annual yield of 11.0%. It is understood the nominal cost per bond is either USD100 or AMD100,000, available both to individuals and registered businesses. The proceeds of the bonds will be used to further the company’s development, including capital investments and refinancing, Yesayan said.
