Sprint has revealed that its first 5G devices will be made available in Atlanta, Dallas, Houston and Kansas City on 31 May. The devices in question – the LG V50 ThinQ 5G and the HTC 5G Hub – will subsequently be extended to Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City, Phoenix and Washington, DC, ‘in the next few weeks’. Using Evolved-Universal Terrestrial Radio Access New Radio Dual Connectivity (EN-DC), Sprint says it will deliver LTE and 5G simultaneously to customers’ devices. Sprint says that it will be the exclusive US supplier for the HTC 5G Hub, which is capable of supporting up to 20 devices on an encrypted network. Both 5G devices are available for pre-order from today (17 May).
