Ukrainian nationwide fixed network operator Ukrtelecom and mobile provider Lifecell have launched a joint offer of discounted bundled mobile and fixed services. Under the ‘Duo’ offer, customers purchasing a Lifecell package get Ukrtelecom’s fixed internet for the token price of UAH1 (USD0.04) per month for twelve months. The initial promotion is valid for activation until the end of this year.
TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database notes that in November 2018 Ukrtelecom’s sister fixed line operator Vega – also owned by the Ukrainian SCM conglomerate – launched a bundled fixed and mobile offer with Lifecell (including Lifecell mobile data access), a move which followed a fixed broadband/TV/mobile bundling scheme between Lifecell and Ukraine’s leading cableco Volia, launched in May 2018. Lifecell has subsequently forged similar convergent bundling partnerships with further fixed providers including Triolan and Lanet.
