Tre Sweden launches home broadband plan

30 Apr 2019

Swedish cellco Tre Sweden has launched an LTE-based wireless broadband service for home users. The ‘3Bredband Hemma’ offering provides unlimited internet access, at speeds which the firm says beats those available via ADSL fixed networks. The service costs SEK399 (USD41.95) per month on a 24-month contract including a Huawei router, with download speeds expected to be in the range 10Mbps-54Mbps. While bandwidth is unlimited, downloads are capped at 5Mbps after a 40GB daily limit has been reached. The new service is being aimed at those users who are unhappy with their ADSL provider or customers in areas where copper-based ADSL services are being phased out.
