Vodafone Germany accelerates LTE rollout

10 Apr 2019

Vodafone Germany has announced that it has installed 600 new LTE base stations so far this year and has added additional antennas to 700 existing LTE sites. The work has enabled 400,000 people to access Vodafone’s 4G network, while a further three million Germans in 1,235 communities are now able to benefit from increased capacity and speed.

During 2019 Vodafone aims to commission a total of 2,800 new LTE stations in areas that are yet to be supplied with 4G. Currently, Vodafone offers LTE coverage of 93.5% of the population, with LTE-800 activated at more than 90% of all 4G base stations.
