Kyivstar completes 4G spectrum refarming project with Innovile

27 Mar 2019

Turkey-based network optimisation solution provider Innovile announced the completion of a nine-month mobile spectrum refarming project with Ukraine’s largest cellco Kyivstar to reallocate 2G (1800MHz) frequencies to 4G LTE usage. Kyivstar’s network consists of around 11,000 2G, more than 8,000 3G and more than 4,000 4G sites combining multiple technologies and vendor topologies, and the standardisation/optimisation programme with Innovile (based on ‘15MHz and 20MHz carriers’) encompassed 16 regions of the country, covering ‘around 30 million subscribers’. Innovile adds that its end-to-end spectrum refarming services deliver future proofing, secure data collection, analysis, and implementation scripts with accurate network modelling.
