Azerfon, which provides services under the Nar brand, has revealed that it installed 170 3G and more than 800 4G base stations across Azerbaijan in 2018. Following last year’s deployments, the cellco has a total of more than 2,600 3G and 1,700 4G base stations, with LTE coverage now reaching 47 regions of the country. Azerfon’s mobile subscriber base stands at 2.2 million, including over 500,000 4G customers.
‘Our main goal is to reinforce our network in the capital and the regions of Azerbaijan. This year, we are planning to install more than 700 4G base stations,’ commented Azerfon CEO Gunnar Pahnke.
