Vodafone to expand Italian fibre coverage

Vodafone Italy has unveiled plans to launch 1Gbps fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) services in twelve new markets over the coming weeks. According to its website, fibre-based services are currently available in 58 Italian cities and will soon be extended to Ancona, Grosseto, La Spezia, Latina, Lecce, Livorno, Pavia, Piacenza, Ravenna, Reggio Emilia, Treviso and Varese. Vodafone utilises infrastructure deployed by wholesale network operator Open Fiber.
