Full-service provider Salt has booked total turnover of CHF1.05 billion (USD1.04 billion) for the year ended 31 December 2018, down by 0.3% year-on-year, whilst fourth-quarter revenue dipped by 0.2% to CHF271.9 million. EBITDA, meanwhile, grew by 2.1% y-o-y for the full year to CHF468.7 million but slipped by 0.9% for Q4 2018, to CHF108.9 million. The operator’s Free Cash Flow was CHF228.9 million for 2018, down from CHF267.1 million in 2017.
Salt counted a total of 1.883 million mobile subscribers at the end of December 2018, down by 1.2% compared to December 2017, although its post-paid user base continued to expand, reaching 1.236 million (1.223 million at the end of 2017). Despite the improvement to its customer base, monthly ARPU for mobile services declined to CHF30.1 for Q4 2018, from CHF31.5 a year earlier. Salt launched fibre-based broadband and pay-TV services in March 2018, but has yet to publish any operational data for the new offering.
