Altice France expands LTE network to 99% of population

Altice France (SFR) has announced that it now covers 98.7% of the population with LTE, having deployed a total of 37,853 4G-enabled antennas. The cellco has also reportedly fulfilled its obligation to cover 90% of population in less-densely populated areas with 4G by January 2022, three years in advance. At the end of January 2019, 1,150 municipalities were covered by SFR’s 4G+ network (offering speeds of up to 300Mbps), while downlink of 500Mbps was available in twelve cities, namely: Bordeaux, Lyon, Saint-Etienne, Marseilles, Toulon, Nice, Montpellier, Avignon, Nantes, Tours, Paris and Strasbourg.
