Ooredoo extends 4G to 96% of Omanis

Ooredoo Oman has revealed that coverage of its 4G ‘Supernet’ network now reaches 96% of the Sultanate’s population. The LTE service has been extended to a further 25 new areas, including Wadi Al Namar, Khazinah, Jidya, Hammah, Miqaah and Najd. ‘The availability of 4G services in rural areas is a big achievement along our journey,’ commented Eng. Ahmed Al Abri, Ooredoo’s Chief Technology and Information Officer, adding: ‘It allows customers to stay connected with friends and families for longer to share, stream, chat, message and more. We remain committed to enriching the digital lives of people in Oman and providing them with a fantastic data experience.’
