Du completes first live 5G data call

United Arab Emirates (UAE) telco Du says it has made the first live data call on its in-deployment 5G network. The firm is rolling out 700 5G sites across the country in collaboration with Huawei and Nokia, and is hoping to launch the technology commercially by the end of this year, although 5G-capable handsets are not expected to be widely available until 2020.
