TDC reports flat revenues, lower EBITDA in 2018

Danish telco TDC, the country’s leading operator in terms of subscribers, has published its financial results for the twelve months ended 31 December 2018, reporting flat revenues of DKK17.356 billion (USD2.6 billion). Meanwhile, EBITDA decreased by 3.3%, from DKK6.920 billion in 2017 to DKK6.691 billion twelve months later, while gross profit totalled DKK12.457 billion (down 1.4% y-o-y). Profit for the period from continuing operations also decreased, to DKK1.243 billion (down 40.6% y-o-y), while including discontinued operations and ‘special items’ profit surged to DKK5.755 billion, due to the divestment of TDC Norway to Sweden-based Telia Company for a cash sale price of USD2.6 billion (completed on 15 October 2018).
