Entel launches Bolivia's first LTE-A network

26 Feb 2019

State-backed Entel – Bolivia’s largest mobile operator by subscribers – has activated what it claims is the country’s first 4.5G network. Technical details regarding the new network remain unclear, but the launch has been confirmed by Entel on social media. The cellco, which launched LTE services in April 2014 using the 700MHz band, competes with Tigo and NuevaTel (Viva) in the Bolivian wireless market.
