4 Feb 2019

Norwegian-owned cellco Telenor Pakistan has launched commercial VoLTE services, having completed a limited trial of the technology. In a press release from the operator, Telenor said that the technology would allow for better call quality and enable subscribers to use voice and data at the same time. CTO Khurrum Ashfaque was quoted as saying of the development: ‘With total mobile subscriptions within the country crossing the 150 million mark, it has become imperative for organisations such as Telenor Pakistan to come up with viable and efficient solutions that help our consumers save time and get more value for money. With VoLTE, we hope to bring Pakistan into a new era of technological innovation by enabling our customers to fully reap the benefits of flawless communication.’
