AT&T to test 3.5GHz FWA in Ohio, Tennessee

US heavyweight AT&T continues to evaluate the 3.5GHz band for fixed-wireless access use and has applied to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for permission to stage tests in parts of Ohio and Tennessee using spectrum in the 3650MHz-3700MHz range. According to the paperwork – as uncovered by Fierce Wireless – the telco has applied for a six-month Special Temporary Authority (STA) running between 15 April and 15 October 2019.
