CenturyLink, Alphabet, EQT interested in Zayo takeover

Zayo Group, which provides bandwidth infrastructure services to wireless and wireline carriers, media and content companies and enterprises in the finance and healthcare sectors over its 209,803km network in the US and Europe, has reportedly attracted takeover interest from a host of major companies. According to Bloomberg, which cited people with knowledge of the matter, CenturyLink and Alphabet Inc – the parent company of internet giant Google – are among the potential suitors for Zayo Group, alongside the infrastructure arm of EQT Partners and a number of prominent private equity firms. Zayo has given possible bidders access to some of its financial information in recent weeks, sources told the news agency.
