T-Mobile Netherlands wins another decision on zero-rated offerings

28 Jan 2019

The District Court of Rotterdam decided that Dutch regulator ACM does not need to take enforcement action against T-Mobile Netherlands regarding its zero-rated music streaming offer, dismissing an appeal by digital civil rights organisation Bits of Freedom (BoF), Telecompaper reports. BoF was overruled in its argument that T-Mobile’s service did not comply with net neutrality legislation. Back in April 2017 the same court blocked ACM’s attempt to ban T-Mobile’s zero-rated packages and in October that year ACM confirmed that the service complied with the European net neutrality framework.
