OTE Group denies plans to sell Telekom Romania stake

Greece-based OTE Group, which is a subsidiary of Germany’s Deutsche Telekom (DT), has not discussed the sale of its majority shareholding in Telekom Romania. Speaking directly to See News, OTE Group Media Relations Senior Manager, Kostas Kanakaris, said: ‘Regarding your questions on Telekom Romania, OTE Group, as the direct shareholder, has not entered negotiations with a third party.’

Telekom Romania is currently 54.01% owned by OTE Group and 45.99% owned by the Romanian government via the Ministry of Communications and Information Society (MCSI).
