Nar continues LTE expansion to Naftalan

Azerfon (Nar) has continued its 4G LTE expansion project in Azerbaijan, adding the city of Naftalan to its network, writes Trend. The country’s third largest mobile network operator (MNO) by subscribers has over the past three months installed almost 340 LTE base stations and around 26 3G base stations, with 72% of Nar’s 4G customers residing in Baku, while 28% live in the country’s other regions. Nar now reportedly covers over 45 regions nationwide with its 4G LTE network. With the extension of both 3G and 4G networks in 2018, Nar currently has in excess of 1,720 4G and more than 2,670 3G base stations.
