Cox gigabit footprint reaches 90%

US cableco Cox Communications has announced that 90% of its cable networks have now been upgraded with gigabit-capable DOCSIS 3.1 technology. Going forward, Cox expects to increase that figure to 99% by the end of 2019. Cox is the largest privately-held telecoms company in the US, serving six million homes and businesses across 18 states.
