ANCOM opens 2019 action plan consultation

11 Dec 2018

Romania’s National Authority for Management and Regulation in Communications (ANCOM) has launched a public consultation for its 2019 action plan. As previously reported by TeleGeography’s CommsUpdate in November, ANCOM has already launched a public consultation on ‘The National Strategy for the Implementation of 5G in Romania’ and this strategy is a key component of the regulator’s 2019 action plan. Aside from ANCOM’s 5G plans and frequency distribution plans in the 700MHz, 800MHz, 1500MHz, 2600MHz and 3400MHz-3600MHz bands, the 2019 action plan sets out the watchdog’s intentions for spectrum monitoring and control, the transposition of European legislation regarding the European Electronic Communications Code, as well as infrastructure improvements.

ANCOM’s draft ‘Action Plan 2019’ is available to view in full on the regulator’s website and comments and suggestions are to be submitted by 7 January 2019.
